SqlGui is a graphical database-frontend for KDE.

Currently MySQL and PostgreSQL are supported.

SqlGui was developed, because of the need of having a database-frontend, which was able to display table-contents, create and delete databases and tables and also send individual sql-queries to the database-server.

SqlGui is released under the GPL.


Requirements for SqlGui:
  • KDE (Version 3.1 or later, or 2.0 for SqlGui prior to 0.3.3)
  • QT (Version 3.1 or later, or 2.2 for SqlGui prior to 0.3.3)
  • MySQL and / or PostgreSQL

Features:
  • Listing of all databases, tables, columns and also its contents
  • Creation, deletion of databases and tables
  • Editing of the table-contents directly in the main window
  • Dialog for adding new data
  • Editor for entering sql-queries, which go directly to the mysql-server
  • History for the given sql-queries
  • Simultaneous connections to several hosts possible
  • Calls to check-, repair- and optimize-functions of MySQL
  • Calls to analyse-, reindex- and vacuum-functions of PostgreSQL
  • Status-information about the connected server
  • Export of the data to txt, csv, html and xml
